What is EZ2Stay?
EZ2Stay is receptionless hostel management software for hostels and bed-based stays of 8–200 beds: guests check in online, verify their ID and pay with nobody at a front desk. The check-in link goes out 48–72h before arrival by email, WhatsApp or SMS, and online check-in takes about 3 minutes. Door codes are never sent by message. Each guest gets a personal door code (or one group code, if the group leader chooses it); on arrival day it goes onto the locks and appears only in the guidebook, once that guest's own online check-in is complete. The 4-digit, time-limited code opens the gate, the entrance and their dorm.
Behind the scenes, EZ2Stay tracks every bed, creates per-dorm cleaning tasks, collects payments and city tax, and keeps staff informed on their phones. The channel manager and PMS are included in the package. Pricing starts at €1.49/bed/month on Basic (up to 50 beds), with a monthly minimum of €29.80 (1–20 beds, billed as 20 beds), and a typical go-live takes 1–2 weeks. EZ2Stay is in closed beta and runs in production at Popcorn Hostel, Bucharest.

How does a receptionless arrival work?

The check-in link goes out
The booking arrives from any channel and the guest gets a check-in link 48–72h before arrival, on WhatsApp, SMS or email.

Do I need a separate channel manager or PMS?
No — the EZ2Stay package includes a channel manager and PMS, so bookings, rates and availability sync automatically with the big booking sites. EZ2Stay then handles everything around each bed: online check-in, access codes, payments and city tax, per-dorm cleaning and the guest guidebook. A typical go-live takes 1–2 weeks, including a test on a real booking.
Which smart locks does EZ2Stay support?
EZ2Stay supports TTLock today — the only live lock brand, with codes generated, activated and revoked automatically. Nuki, Salto, igloohome and Yale are on the roadmap, not live. At the pilot hostel, 15 TTLock smart locks cover 1 gate, 1 entrance, 12 dorms and 1 staff-only basement. Without smart locks, online check-in, payments, cleaning and the guest guidebook still work.
How does per-dorm cleaning work?
EZ2Stay creates a full cleaning task for a dorm only when every guest in it has left. If 4 of 6 guests check out and 2 stay, it creates a partial clean of just the vacated beds, so the remaining guests are not disturbed. A staff PIN at the dorm's smart lock starts the task automatically, and staff close it from their phone.
How does EZ2Stay protect guest data?
EZ2Stay encrypts secrets and personal data with AES-256-GCM and keeps each hostel's data isolated from every other organization. Selfies are deleted within 30 days of checkout, and that rule is not configurable; ID documents are kept 90 days by default, and the owner can change that period. Card payments go through Stripe, so EZ2Stay never stores card numbers.
Does EZ2Stay cover Romanian compliance?
EZ2Stay covers a Romanian hostel's obligations in one flow: tourist registration data is collected during online check-in, city tax is calculated per municipality and paid with the stay, and invoicing through SmartBill with e-Factura is in beta.
